Following the Dutchman’s passing earlier this year, the BRSCC has elected to honour Van Kouwen, 40 years on from his victory in 1984. The former Formula 3 and BTCC racer was an enthusiastic supporter of Formula Ford and the Festival, attending most years until his death.

The traditional knockout race format will again feature, with drivers needing to progress through heats, followed by semi-finals, to reach the all-important Grand Final. Kent-engined Formula Fords of all ages will do battle around the Indy Circuit for this iconic prize, with other previous winners including Jenson Button, Mark Webber and Johnny Herbert.

A full support programme includes the Mazda MX-5 Championship, Mazda MX-5 Clubman Championship, Mazda MX-5 SuperCup, CityCar Cup, BMW 1 Series SuperCup, Evolution Trophy, Mazda MX-5 MK4 Trophy, Renault Cup and Classic VW Cup.
