We’re excited to announce that leading UK country duo Ward Thomas will headline the Saturday night of SpeedFest Country presented by CountryLine Radio, when Americana-infused music returns to Brands Hatch on 8/9 June. The dedicated country music festival joined the American SpeedFest powered by Lucas Oil event for the first time last summer, and returns once more for 2024 as part of a super-sized line-up of music and motorsport.
Ward Thomas’s country-pop stylings have taken the UK by storm in recent years, with twin sisters Catherine and Lizzy Ward Thomas now firmly established amongst the genre’s leading lights on this side of the Atlantic. The pairing made history in 2016 when they became the first British country artists to top the UK Official Album Charts with ‘Cartwheels’.
This was the second of four Ward LPs to top the UK Country Chart, with 2023’s ‘Music in the Madness’ the most recent of these. The duo toured extensively following last year’s release and will return to UK stages this year, including at SpeedFest Country presented by CountryLine.
SpeedFest Country places the spotlight firmly on some of the finest country acts active in the UK currently, with live music scheduled throughout the weekend. Ward Thomas is just the first major artist to be announced, with more news to follow very soon.

Admission includes not only access to the SpeedFest Country presented by CountryLine festival area, but also a full weekend of American themed automotive action at the famous Brands Hatch race circuit in Kent. Racing will be headlined by the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series, the only stock car series of its kind on this side of the Atlantic, with display cars, American food, stunt shows and other themed attractions for individuals of all ages.
