A packed line-up of sports cars, single-seaters and tin tops will provide plenty of entertainment on the Brands Hatch Indy circuit this weekend (20-21 May).
As ever with one of the UK’s most cost-effective racing clubs, variety is the name of the game, with 11 different categories in action across the two days and big grids expected.
Tin top action will come from the BMWs of the 116 Trophy, plus the 116 Sprint and Coupe Cup. In addition, there’s the Type R Trophy for a packed line-up of EP3 Honda Civics, and the MR2 Championship for nippy Toyota sports cars.
There’s a big variety of hatchback machinery too, including the Clio Sport series, the Hot Hatch Championship and the Classic Stock Hatch Championship for retro machines built before 1992.
Prototype sports cars will fill the grid in the 750 Formula series, thought to be one of the oldest continually running race series in the world, with some of that history also racing in the Historic 750 Formula contests.
There’ll be plenty of single-seaters too, with races from the F1000 series and Formula Vee. F1000 features bike-engined slicks and wings machines, while Formula Vee is for VW-powered cars similar in appearance to Formula Ford.
Tickets for the 750 Motor Club at Brands Hatch on 19-20 May are available in advance priced at £15 per day or £24 for the full two-day event. Additional savings are available for teenagers aged 13-15, with free entry all weekend for children. For more information and to book, click here.
